Exclamation Side Effects from Covid booster vaccination

I've recently had my C-19 booster jab and boy this thing is lethal lol!
Other than the usual side effects aches and pains, chills and temperature etc.. they don's say 'Oh and the lymph nodes in your armpit could become swollen' thus cause you some pain and discomfort.

For me it started the next morning when I woke up, I felt like my body had been hit by a truck and my arm was so painful, not just the typical muscle pain but under the arm and in the armpit and down the arm to the hand.
Three days later and the armpit is still very painful, so I googled it as calling the doctor is time consuming and I hate queues. I found health post about Covid arm and sore lymph nodes and that this is a side effect.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this due to the Covid Vaccination? It seems all those that I know who have had the vacs haven't, so can't relate to what I've experienced.

I been living on paracetamol and ibuprofen which does help with other symptoms but not the armpit. I found Icepacks to be a great relief for a few mins and not just for the armpit but legs and neck and other achy areas in the body.

Please feel free to leave replies for your experiences and what you did to help yourselves, after all we're all in this together and we need to help each other

    Stay safe!

I had the pfizer vaccine on all 3 doses. The 1st dose was a walk in the park no issues other then just a sore arm and only noticed that when I turned over in bed. The second dose, I was sick for four days continuous headache and chills etc... I've not had covid and I do work in a high risk area where we have to wear PPE. Lateral flow test are a must and PCR test are available.
I guess I'm just one of the unlucky ones and my lymph nodes are just too sensitive lol!

For those that have not had any vaccines yet and are reading these post, Please do not be put off from having it done. And if you are contemplating on having the booster, have it

I just had my booster Wednesday. Yay! I am so relieved as the numbers are going up again around here. I had Moderna and a friend told me it was only a 1/2 dose on the booster. I tolerated the first round really well (other than arm ache which I think everyone gets) so had no worries. Unfortunately when I got to the pharmacy they said since I take asthma meds I have to get whole dose and worse than that - all the needles were predosed so I had to get 2 jabs. I thought Oh no - this is going to be rough. Well it wasn't. I was a bit lazy yesterday, but I don't know if vaccine related. I thought I felt clogged ears last night before going to bed but I woke up fine. The arm ache is barely noticeable today. I am a baby and honestly was looking for side effects but I can't complain.

I have evaded Covid, thank God but I am insanely careful. I still wipe down my groceries even though they've said not needed over a year. I figured can't hurt. I even haven't been to a restaurant since March 2020. Never go out maskless and changed my work hours so nobody in the office with me. Also my city is 80% vaccinated so thanks to requirements, we are doing ok here.

The closest person in my life got a breakthrough in August, and I got lucky. That may be why I tolerate the vaccine so well. I have heard those who had covid, more often get side effects than those who haven't. My guy gets his booster Sunday. He had no sides his first 2 so if he gets them this time, I will be even more convinced those who have had Covid are more likely to feel sides.

The peace of mind I got is the best side effect. Stay safe DPG!

I took my booster shot on Dec. 7. I had the usual side effects: aches and pain, hot spells and cold spells that night and the next day. I still have a little pain in my arm where the shot was given but besides that I don’t have any other side effects. I don’t know if the different booster has different effects but I had the Moderna one, and I guess it would effect everyone differently since I’m sure everyone has all sorts of different problems that they are dealing with.

Thank God I haven’t gotten covid but then again I barely go anywhere besides work and grocery shopping. I don’t put myself in a situation that I could get it as I still wear my mask whenever I do go out.

And as kazzie said: We are in this together!
And it looks like it may be around for a while!
And with Christmas around the corner we need to be more careful than ever!
So Please Everyone: Stay Safe as much as you can!
And take care of yourself and your loved ones!
We don't need this to claim anymore lives then necessary!

I can't book my booster until the 13th when my age group is allowed to get it. Dose 1, I didn't even have a sore arm, Dose 2, sore, arm and headache for two days. I am hoping the booster won't be too bad either. If I can't get my booster by the 20th then I am waiting until after Christmas to book just in case I end up not feeling well. I had Moderna for both so will likely get it again unless they are back to mixing vaccines.

As for covid arm, I know of one person that had it and she said it was very painful. I believe hers lasted just over two weeks and nothing much helped other than taking it easy. She had it with Dose 1 so they prolonged her getting Dose 2.

    Stay safe everyone!

I have not had the vaccine. But I did get Covid pneumonia and spent 7 days in the hospital. I just found out that I still have pneumonia and damaged lungs. I don't regret not getting the vaccine. It's a personal choice and I have stayed away from busy places for the last two years since this all started. But this is no joke. It hit me like a train and almost killed me. Now I have long lasting effects from it. I have been healthy my entire life until now. Please all of y'all...take care

I got my booster at the beginning of November of 2021. Side effects besides the sore arm were headache and extreme fatigue. Pretty much the same as the first two shots. All three have been Moderna. I always double mask (a n95 and a surgical) when I leave my home and I barely go anywhere other than shopping and work. I have not been exposed to Covid yet but I do know some people who have experienced breakthrough cases without the booster. It seems that a lot of people where I live choose to not get vaccinated and to not mask up.

I had my booster last week and, luckily only had a sore arm for a day. My first two shots were Astra Zeneca and the Booster was Pfizer, I was lucky with all three with no side effects apart from sore arm. My boss at work (we work in a college) suffered with the aches and pains and swollen lymph nodes though, it hit her really hard.

    Hi all,
I had my booster (moderna) this past Friday. Fortunately only side effects were extreme fatigue and a sore arm. The funny thing is that since I got my second vaccine I now suffer from what I can describe as numbness in my right arm. Feels like my arm is asleep (just the forearm and elbow area) then feels like its heavy. It happens several times a days and at night... I've spoken to my dr about it, I've had tests done and nothing. Only thing that I can think of is that this is a side effect of the vaccine. I don't regret getting the vaccine but this feeling in my arm is bothersome....

my cousin got some bad advice she should massage the injection site to make the sore arm go away quicker. She later found out that is why her pain lasted 6 months, I don't know who told her to do it - shes on facebook often so it wouldn't surprise me if it went around there, but when she looked into why the arm pain lasted so long, they told her that is how it occurred. I don't know if that is your situation, but thought I would mention it so at least people get the word don't try to rub out the soreness,,
