My daughter is turning 18 and wants a designer bag as her gift. She's narrowed it down to either a Coach bag of a Kate Spade bag. I'm not into bags at all - is one any better than the other?

It will depend on what she'll use it for and what her style is...
does she plan on using it for going out around town at night ?
Or
for college for hauling notebooks and stuff to class ?
Both have different styles....
My suggestion is to go to the Coach and Kate SPade outlets... more likely to get the most for your money.

What did you end up deciding to get for your daughter? I'm a big fan of Coach, personally. I only have one Kate Spade bag vs 5+ Coach bags.

Kate Spade has never disappointed me! I love their styles and their quality. Coach has great quality too but they're styles seem stagnant and old-fashioned. I'm sure she'll love whatever you get though!
