2017 was an extremely stressful year, and 2018 is shaping up to be even worse. EeekK! At this point it's more energy efficient and productive to laugh than to cry. I've been very focused on improving diet, exercise, and sleep so I don't get worn out and completely useless to anyone. Like putting on my oxygen mask first before volunteering to help others on the plane, so to speak.

One area of interest was increasing my fibre and prebiotics. I have problems with psyllium so I was, initially, really excited to find inulin fibre as a substitute. Uh... it has not been going so well. Oh the gas and blockages... The horror. Yikes.

I guess it's time to go back to basics so I was delighted to see Fatmawatiar's post for Jessica Parkhill's book on 'Weight Loss Begins In The Colon': http://www.dpgroup.org/showthread.php?t=488686 I'm not really looking to lose weight per se, but research continues to prove gut health is critical to overall physical and mental health.

So I'm totally down for learning more and adding a few more tools to my wellness tool chest. Anyone got any suggestions or recommendations for things/books that have helped you?
