What (women's) shoes would you wear with dressy pants for work? Having trouble deciding.

Heels are great depending on the amount of cushion (or insoles) it has and the amount of spent standing. If not, classy flats are always a good alternative.
All depends on the "pant style".... "straight"/"pencil" for me I do the flats and heels for the "Boot cut"/looser pants
In a office setting heel height is directly related to hierarchy in office. Exec; pumps, usually not open toed but may be sling backs/Boots 4"+ heel, mid-level management, P.A./HR/Reception/Rep - 2-4 in. pumps/Boots, lower level office; clerical/secretarial up to 2", not much more; on the go more but less casual. Gofer/assistant/support staff, Flats, ballet or loafers; on the go all the time, less visual.
Sandal's never a good idea.
Hem and neck lines follow the same theory. Specially in by the book offices like civil service, law, Insurance, medical.
I'd go with heels
It depends on the length and style of pants, but I usually wear my flats. I would recommend taking a picture of yourself or standing in front to see how you look wearing your shoes, but at the same remember to stay comfortable.
Usually flats but if I'm going somewhere nice I may wear heels.
It hurts to wear heels so I always get ankle length pants. That way I can wear flats. Or you can always get them hemmed so you can wear flats.
It depends in which sector you work, I am working in finance, it's very conservative. It's mid heel pump or brogue shoes for a masculine/feminine style or simply flats
Yes it does depend of the type of environment you work in. Have you noticed a particular dresscode shoes-wise? For me, I tend to rely on mid heel pumps and go from there (with my trusted flats stashed in my purse for commute)
