Emily Robertson Playing With Fire (#2 Portwood Brothers)
Alone in the pouring rain, not a house in sight.... her car hissed splutterd and finally came to a crawl then a total stop. Hitting the steering wheel she cursed no. no nooooooooooo not now oh crap. She tried to restart the car while praying, no such luck not even a sound from the now dead engine... just an ominous click click of the ignition. Could her day get any worse. Yes no signal on her phone and wearing 4inch heels walking in the dark was gonna be a pain.
Kasey got out of the car, and it started to rain. "Really...anything else you want to put me through?" she yelled, looking into the sky. Sighing again at her bad luck, she reached behind her into the car and pulled the hood release. She walked toward the front of the car slowly and propped the hood open. Looking down at the engine and assorted other bits that supposedly made the car run, she hung her head. "Like I know what I am looking at, much less how the hell to fix this piece of crap." she mumbled. Her hair hung in lank strands soaked through from the rain. Her clothing hadn't fared any better. "Great now I have the shoes,"sigh,"the rain," sigh,"the stupid car," she snorted and kicked the car,"no phone reception, stupid phone! and its dark as hell!! YAY me."

Book Title: Lani Lynn Vale - Dragons Need Love Too (I like Big Dragons Series 2) (19th october)
Alone in the pouring rain, not a house in sight.... her car hissed, spluttered and finally came to a crawl, then a total stop. Hitting the steering wheel, she cursed no, nooooooo, not now, oh crap. She tried to restart the car, while praying, no such luck, not even a sound from the now dead engine.... just the ominous click click of the ignition. Could her day get any worse. Yes, no signal on her phone, and wearing 4 inch high heels walking the dark was gonna be a pain. Kasey got out of the car. Looking up at the sky, it started to rain. "Really, anything else you want to put me through?" she yelled, looking at the sky. Sighing again at her bad luck, she reached behind her into the car and pulled the hood release. She walked towards the front of the car and propped the hood open. Looking down at the engine and the other assorted bits that supposedly made the car run, she hung her head "Like I know what I'm looking at much less how to fix this piece of crap," She mumbled. Her hair hung in lank strands soaked through from the rain. Her clothing hadn't fared any better. "Great, now I have the shoes," sigh "the rain," sigh, "the stupid car" she snorted and kicked the car, "no phone reception, stupid phone! And its dark as hell!! YAY me."
Kasey stood back from surveying the engine, frowning in concentration. But taking out most of her frustration on her car did nothing to relinquish the feelings that she felt within. Even though the heartfelt prayer to the universe that she had sent up earlier in hopes that someone up there was listening to her plea of desperation. But then it wasn't so much the car that needing mending, it was her life. Where had it all gone wrong? She missed her family, though she knew deep down inside that she had to make this decision to get on the road. It was a big change for her, not an opportunity to be missed! But nothing would stop her from continuing this journey - not even the rain! She closed the hood to stop any rain from damaging the engine, and opened the door of her car. Maybe this wasn't the end of everything yet for her journey had only just started. Yes, there were obstacles that would test her, but in the long run, she knew she would always overcome the challenge with gusto as she knew that where-ever there was a will, there is a way! She was strong - much like her grandmother Maria in that sense. She thought about the old times that her grandmother would share with her - the stories about how things were done back in the day, and well spun tales of the magic of old that would follow her into her dreams; she slumped back in her seat, murmuring to herself, "What I wouldn't give for a bit of magic now?"
As the rain descended on the window of the car, and hammered on the roof, thrumming its own musical melody, Kasey brushed the tears away with her fingertips. But little did she know of what her grandmother Maria told her through the stories that she listened to as a little girl, magic did indeed exist... but it was a different kind of magic that dwelled from within one's heart. As the tears began to fall, but nothing could match the sound of magic echoing from her heart. And there was no doubt in the magic as it re-started her car....

Book Shayla Black - Falling in Deeper ~ July 2016
Alone in the pouring rain, not a house in sight.... her car hissed spluttered and finally came to a crawl then a total stop. Hitting the steering wheel she cursed no. no nooooooooooo not now oh crap. She tried to restart the car while praying, no such luck not even a sound from the now dead engine... just an ominous click click of the ignition. Could her day get any worse. Yes no signal on her phone and wearing 4 inch heels walking in the dark was gonna be a pain.
Pain? Freakin' agony... Lucky enough, she had her entire wardrobe packed in the back of the car, unluckily her $700 shoes were ruined by the time she had fished her running shoes out of the mess of hurriedly packed belongings.
Knowing it was a long shot, she struggled through the mud to raise the hood of the car. Holding her useless phone up and using it for light to inspect the engine, she hoped for just a bit of her brothers know how, to help her to start the p.o.s. car her ex had left her with when he cleared out their bank account and hit the road.
Just as she thought, not a clue. Totally lost, she reached in to wiggle the little doohicky, then a wire, then loosing it completely, pounded the big round thing with her hand.
"OUCH"
Juliet used her now throbbing hand to wipe the rain from her face, and slowly stilled as the feeling of being watched washed over her, chilling her more than the rain now dripping down her neck. Trying not to be obvious she straightened and turned, visually searching the dark woods that bordered the road on each side.
For the first time it dawned on her just how alone and cut off she was in this area of bum**** Idaho. It had been desert for so long on her trip up from New Mexico, that the forest had been a delightful change. Not so much now as she focused on the eyes glowing back at her from the trees not 16 feet away.
Her heart kicked, then beat faster as her straining ears caught the sounds something breathing heavily, the sound getting louder in time with the glow of the eyes rapidly closing the distance between them.
With a start, Juliet came to life and slammed to hood down, then ran for the drivers door. Diving in, she slammed the door and then the power locks, locking all 4 doors at once.
Scared out of her mind, breath coming in pants, she turned to scan as much as she could through the now driving rain to see..
Nothing.
Incredulous, Juliet frantically tried to calm her breathing as she looked again. Still nothing. Scanning all around, she saw absolutely nothing outside but rain and trees.
Semi-hysterical laughter bubbled up as she slumped back in the seat in relief. What an paranoid idiot.. Juliet thought, just as the window in front of her shattered.
Juliet could hear someone screaming as the vision of eyes and teeth and blood filled her mind before all went dark.

As she looked around the room, she saw a person sitting in a chair hidden in the dark shadows. The person stood up and walked towards her; it was a gorgeous man wearing only a pair of jeans. Wow, she thought to herself "I would like to lick him up". The guy replied "I'm more than willing". OMG Juliet thought he can read my mind.

Marie Rochelle - Inked (Bikers and Bars)
Published: Aug 30, 2016
Handsome tattoo artist, Griffin Bell had been focused only on one thing since buying Inked from his best friend, Dante Braden. He wanted to beat his biggest competitor, Lexington Brand at the upcoming tattoo competition. He wasn’t about to get distracted by anything or anyone until Ceanna Gibson walked through the front doors of Inked looking for a job.
Ceanna Gibson knew there was only one tattoo shop that was worthy of her talents with a tattoo machine…Inked and Griffin Bell in Los Angeles, California. She packed up her bags and moved there in hopes of making it big. However one thing happened she never expected…Griffin. She hated him on the spot and wouldn’t work for him if he came begging on his hands and knees.
Can Griffin make Ceanna see they are meant to be together before his enemy finds a way to snatch up the woman he loves?
♥thanks
Happy Birthday! 5 great years!

He will not let Ceanna distract him from defeating his competitor, Lexington Brand, even if she is talented and a hottie, love or no love, the woman still drives him crazy. He has to win this competition even if it means putting his burning desires for a certain tattoo artist on the back burner. Anyways it not LOVE its LUST, is what he got bad.
