    Default Spotting Fakes?

How can you tell if the purse is fake? It's so hard to tell these days...

Look very closely at the logos and notice what charms and what type of material it's made of. A fake wouldn't have the exact logo and all of the charms, it probably wouldn't even be made of the same material as the original.

I actually go to the official website and search for the bag and compare every minute detail.

I do this for all designer brands. Good luck! And be careful there are a lot of really good fakes out there.

    Hi!

Getting duped by a fake is so annoying so sites like ebay have produced checklists to help spot fakes. There are quite a few vids on youtube that are super helpful, regarding the check pattern, leather quality, stitching, labels and so on. If you're looking for cheaper authenticated designer items there are sites like Vestiaire Collective which have experts to check the authenticity of items before you buy, I've used this site myself and loved it, but there are other similar sites. Good luck!

Always remember that the Burberry Nova Check (this is the correct term for the 'plaid') is always symmetrical, especially in Handbags and Small Leather Goods, this means that the pattern will always line up. The check has ONLY three thick faint navy stripes crosshatching each other. In between the stripes, there is a white filling that is also faint. Also, the red thinner stripes cross exactly in the middle of the blue check. There is also a pic below to help you out. Note how the whole handbag is symmetrical, from the handles, to the Check. Also remember that Burberrys handbags (in the Nova Check) are always over-sized. If you see a really tiny version of the check, it's most likely a fake.
